Melissa Sanchez is the founder, owner, and instructor of her sewing studio located in Historic Arsenal Park in Benicia, California — a welcoming creative space nestled between the Bay Area, Napa, and Fairfield. A lifelong maker, Melissa first sat at a sewing machine at just nine years old and has been creating ever since.

With more than 40 years of experience sewing and creating and eight years of teaching, she’s found her greatest joy in sharing the craft with others. As a mother and teacher, Melissa believes deeply in the value of creativity and the importance of passing down skills that connect generations.

Through her classes, custom projects, and alterations, she strives to make sewing accessible, inspiring, and fulfilling — helping each person discover the beauty of handmade work and the pride that comes from creating something truly their own.
